51A-7124 Complete Synchronizer Assembly (= 8M-7124)

This assembly includes the 51A-7105 inner hub, the 01A-7106 outer slider, the 51A-7109-S insert & spring kit, and two 81A-7107 bronze rings. All of these have been fitted with the matching late style insert & spring kit. This synchronizer fits the 1945 through 1954 Ford and Mercury three speed transmissions (top loader and side loader types) in the passenger cars, and the 1/2 ton pickup trucks. All parts are new or NOS (new old stock).

Note: The 51A-7124 assembly is replaced by the 8M-7124 part number. The two are interchangeable. This assembly can also be used back to 1939 types, but the 81A-7069 mainshaft spacing washer (39-42) would be eliminated from the transmission when using the 51A/8M type synchronizer assembly on the earlier transmissions. This synchro assembly can also be used on some later Ford/Mercury light duty transmissions up through 1962. Check with us to confirm any later applications.
