91A-6347-K rope seal kit fits various Ford and Mercury flathead V8 engines from 1939 to 1953. The 1939-41 applications are limited to those with the crankshaft and seal retainers that are designed for a rope seal. The kit will work on all flathead V8 engines (239 and 255 cubic inch) from 1942-53 models which were designed for the rear rope seals. Customer must check the block and crankshaft for pre 1942 applications before ordering this kit.
