Kit fits the Ford passenger car overdrive transmission (top loader - top cover) built by Borg-Warner (T-86 type with R10 overdrive) as used in some 1955 models and then up into the early 1960's. This was the medium duty overdrive for the six cylinder and small V8 powered cars. These started to get a front oil seal (in the front bearing retainer) in 1957 so check your transmission. This seal (B7AZ-7A283) is not in the kit but is sold separately.
